I've been eagerly waiting for Jayna by and to get released, and as soon as I got her I knew I had to put her in something. The idea for this scene has been rattling around in my head for a while, and I have to say I think Jayna turned out to be the perfect girl for the job. I love how she renders -- there is no postwork on this piece except for adding the black border. Great job, you two!
Thank you! The staff was originally a brown wood color -- I switched it to the chrome to show it off a little better. I'm not sure the chrome really fits with the rest of the piece, but I like how it looks. Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks so much for the fave!
Thanks! I did try to get the effect you're talking about, by switching that left-hand light to blue and moving the more reddish one to the right. But I couldn't get the look I wanted, and this light setup gave the tone I liked to the rest of the scene. So I went with this setup. Thanks as always for the critique!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Very well done.
only critique I have is that there's not a glow on the right side of her face from the glow of the staff (although you've got it on her hand).
